The Story behind our DREAMS
Franky and Christa’s journey started as two globetrotters exploring the beauty of different countries across the world. They came to Sri Lanka in 2011. Started falling in love with the beautiful beaches and blue waters, the couple decided to spend more time here, losing their hearts for the Eastern coast’s serenity, made them reluctant to leave. Inspired by the humbled nature of people, they started making their family here in 2013, with their daughter Stella. Their dream of building a holiday resort near the beaches, came live with Dream Garden at Whiskey Point, Pottuvil.
Franky is an Italian, who has years of experience in hydraulics, plumbing, electrical and electronics. He had worked for many European constructional and retail brands. Despite his experience, he faced many difficulties during the construction process, due to lack of technology and materials which are not available here. He had contributed in many ways to create the structural and architectural ideas of Dream Garden.
Christa is a Swiss national who excelled as a hospitality management professional. She grew up with her loving parents, seeing them taking care of her, inspired her to select hospitality sector. Her eye for detailing and decoration could be seen in every piece of interiors here. She brings credit to the management of Dream Garden in hospitality, designing, interiors and maintenance, which makes the resort most lovable by the guests.
In 2016 they made their dream come true by Dream Garden becoming fully functional. The journey was not easy being two non-Sri Lankans building a luxury venture near the seas of Sri Lanka. But Franky and Christa put all their heart and soul into this adventure which eventually made them the most loved couple in Pottuvil.
Coporates Social Responsibility (CSR)
From the origins of Italy and Switzerland, Frank and Christa became the corner stone for all the urban development witnessed in Whiskey Point, Pottuvil today. From tar roads, to 3-phase electricity to cable and wireless network, now exploring into Fibre connections, were some of the
many contributions of the couple to this region, which was made possible through Dream Garden. As much as our resort is the place for giving shape to any visitor’s dream, it also brought many dreams of the locals around this region to life.
